Monthly Highlights

November 2008

On Monday, November 3rd at 11 am, Pat Leuchtaman will give us pointers on how to start an herb garden. Pat has a regular article in the Greenfield Recorder. This will offer a great hands-on-experience for everyone.

Men's Group with Jason is scheduled for Saturday, November 8th at 2pm. and every other Saturday thereafter. Jason is getting acquainted with the gentlemen here at Poet's Seat and has some great programs planned for November.

On November 11th from 2-4pm, Bob Meacham from Patient's Personal Needs will bring fashionable clothing and shoes for purchase. This presents a great opportunity to update wardrobes for residents. Both, residents and families are aware of the sale.

Also on November the 11th at 2pm, Darwin Hines will delight us with a collection of comedic poems. Darwin also shares great stories for Remembrance Day.

On November 12 at 6:30pm, Drew Patton is bringing his "Berma Shave Show" to Poet's Seat. Everyone loves the show and is looking forward to see Drew.

On November 19th at 2pm, we welcome a new entertainer named Barbara Ewing. Barbara dances and sings to some memorable tunes. Surely she will offer a good time.

Our annual Family Thanksgiving Dinner is scheduled for November 20 at noon, Notices went out and we would like to know by November 14th how many family members will attend.

On Friday November 21 at 2:30pm, we welcome Ethan Stone back. He is a great performer who sings and plays the keyboard. We are all excited to have him back.

As always we have some regularly scheduled features in our calendar;
Jody Fontaine is a certified fitness trainer who is here every first Tuesday of every month at 10:15am. She offers Gentle Movement. Cookie and fay are here once a month for pet therapy time and Madeline Liebling is an art therapist and coordinator of elder peer counseling. She also stops in once a month.

Other Poet's Seat News

Teddy, our resident cat is doing very welll. He is gaining popularity and people come off the street asking to see him. Staff and residents alike take turns to help keep him clean and well nourished. Thanks to everyone helping.
